Dennis,

Didn’t you recommend a specific wheel a few years ago when I was at Watkins?

Thanks,

Bryan

If going through the trouble and expense of tires-wheels I would suggest going right to 16 or 17 inch. 15's are still limited in suitable choices unless part of the goal is increased diameter and most 15" choices still keep you on outdated tire technology. These like 14's will soon be disappearing. Wheels and mounting parts are consumables and over the last few years I have taken a number of Vanagon steelies out of service due to the lug holes being worn. One should pay attention to ratings, weight, tire diameter, pressure, and application.

It's time for new tires for my 83.5 and I was thinking to moving to 15" since I'd like to upgrade to the Big Brake Kit sometime in the future. The thing is $600 for a set of alloys is not in the budget. Any suggestions for a less expensive alternative, I don't care if they are steel wheels.

Thanks, Bryan
