Feel free to say it again, but it's still wrong to call 10W-40 "40 weight" or 10W-60 "60 weight". At zero C the viscosity of SAE 10W-40 oil is the same as SAE 10W oil, and the same as SAE 40 oil at 100C. Running single viscosity SAE 40 or 60 oil means oil starvation at low temps and excessive wear, running 10W-40 does not. It's the cold-start wear that kills, not the higher viscosity at normal operating temps.

I ran 15W-50 for the last 115K of the 200K miles on my WBX (at the point I did my Tiico conversion) without any oil related issues. And I certainly wasn't burdened with excessive oil pressure during 115F summers either.
