Eric, Thank you for your reply. I will wait until I get the car back, but I will file a consumer complaint. Thanks for the link. I used an on-line Isetta group when I was researching the problems that I found with the car. I was asked there to name the mechanic. However, Tom (the mechanic), has a great personality and is far more accepted in the Isetta crowd than I am. So, I declined to name him nor his location. When I get my car back, I may change my mind. I can do all the repairs on the car myself and I will do so moving forward. My position is that I paid a lot for the restoration, and I should expect a restored car. But, now I realize that isn't going to happen, and I just need to get my car back. So, the main issue is that Tom is forcing me to retrieve the car and then by refusing to communicate with me making it very difficult to do so. I could be much more effective if the car were in Phoenix, but the time constraints and 425 miles make a significant problem. By the way, the car is really beautiful. Tom just doesn't seem to understand why I want the brakes to work as well. Thanks, Mike |
