Because you changed the alternator voltage
regulator.....
Could the
alternator voltage regulator be blocking positive flow to
fuel
pump 30 while engine is off and while
the starter turns the engine?
Or, maybe something else inhibits positive flow
to fuel pump relay 30 while
alternator is at
rest or spinning slowly while starter turns the engine
but
once the engine starts and runs using
the bypass from battery to fuel pump,
with
the alternator now spinning faster, it actually puts out
enough power
to overcome whatever was
inhibiting flow of positive?
