Hi all. This is for a 1981 Westy. I don't see this detail shown in Bentley..... Was the original barrel clamp at forward end of the accelerator cable designed with splayed legs? If someone drilled the hole to make it larger, can't imagine why..... Just trying to figure out why the part failed like it did. The bolt just kept turning and the end splayed out further and further. Hard to believe the cable stayed in place all these years!
