Uh, I have to add an edit.  That engine oil is not theoretical, it is in reality in the cabin.  The potential flow of oil at say 200-230 degrees F coming out of 1/8 inch tubing at say 10-50 pounds pressure would not seem like barely anything.  It just might seem like really something!  That was a nasty lesson I learned at age 19 in a TR3, long ago, vivid memory.

Disadvantages:
-you have engine oil theoretically brought into your cabin (but in reality.
the potential flow is so small through the eight feet of 1/8" tubing, even
if you had a leak, it would be barely anything.
