Thank you for your reply, suggestion, and offer of help.

This morning the restorer, Tom, contacted me and was very polite.  I am
on track to retrieve the car on Saturday, so I am going to leave things
as they are for now.  If that doesn't go smoothly, I'll ask for help
again.
