So, help me to understand this. Are you guys talking about the channel
that runs through the front door? Are you saying that if I slide the
bottom lever of the four on the heating panel all the way to the left, air
will flow through that channel back to the rear of the cabin? Where are
the outlets for these channels?
I have only had my 1991 Volkswagen Vanagon GL Campmobile (silver tan,
original waterboxer, four speed manual transmission) for ten years. I have
always considered the channels in the door to be blind passages, as I have
never known air to flow from them regardless of how the vent lever is set.
But they do not have foam in them. I put the stick that my wife uses to
tuck up the tent while I work it from the inside in there. I also keep an
umbrella and a club in there.
