Subject: 2.1 engine and auto trans + other parts for sale, central Oregon
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=utf-8; format=flowed

I've just about finished parting out a 1986 std. passenger Vanagon in La Pine, Oregon. What remains is a decent 2.1 waterboxer engine and automatic transmission, still bolted together. The van suffered a light engine fire so most plastic bits are gone, but nothing entered the engine. Bolt on your topside plastic bits and distributor, it should make a good runner. The trans was previously rebuilt by German Transaxle in Bend but some time back. I'd like to get about $1500 for both, will separate at $600 for the engine and $1000 for the trans. I am in the process of cutting out some panels from the body for people and myself, there are a few areas still usable that I can cut if anyone needs some small part. The front doors and rear lid are intact, the doors have minor scrapes near the bottom. All rear and side glass available. I also have four 15" Passat wheels already machined to fit, fender/step and rear threshold/latch area cuts from another body. Open to offers. Pick up only, no shipping. Email me direct.
