Hi Dennis. I am still on my original starter. What is your preferences for a replacement? 1985 automatic with a 2.1 Boston Bob.

The Bosch rebuilds are notorious for not being able to reliably crank over the engine.  You need to test voltage and current looking for voltage drops and battery capacity.
