Sound deadener inside the slider changes the tone of the sound but does not eliminate it.  Still loud in the middle of the night. Stephen

I'd like to share my experiences regarding the sliding door - on some of my vans I use Delrin rollers, on some I use OEM metal rollers to compare.

- Delrin rollers are quieter but the kit came with 2 Delrin rollers for the rear and the bottom tracks only.

- Cleaning and sanding smooth the tracks help a lot, I'd think the noise came from the pitting corrosion on the rear and bottom tracks.

- Strange enough on the vans with OEM metal rollers, on some it's almost as quiet as the one with Delrin rollers.

- I'd think a well balanced door is quieter than a unbalanced one - I think weight distribution to rear, top and bottom tracks helps, it's a try, miss and repeat job. I notice some door is easier to balance than other, may be depending on how worn the track is.

- Yes I put FatMat noise deadener on the cover of the rear track too, it's help a bit.

- I put FatMat noise deadener and pink fiberglass in cavity of the sliding door. It helps to bring down the noise by cutting the resonance. I'd think the hollow door acts as an empty drum and it amplifies the noise.
