Subject:      A hundred thousand miles on my $300 motor

  Just noticed that my odometer is now 9000 miles past 400k... I remember
turning 300k after I put a 93 jetta block (ABA 2liter) under the "original'
1.8 liter motor's head... That allows me to keep everything below the lid...
   At a guess, I had over 100000 miles on that head on the 1.8 liter motor
before I bolted it onto my $300 Jetta motor...
   Still no signs of anything bad..
Still getting 24+ mpg...Not bad, eh?  Hopefully another couple of hundred
thousand miles before I need to pop in another $300 inline....
