Subject: Syncro Westfalia Wolfsburg Weekender for sale - central Oregon
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=utf-8; format=flowed

Standard stock 1986 Syncro Westy poptop weekender with rear locker, this is the more rare version w/o the kitchen - it has one rear-facing jump seat and a fold-out table, full-width rear bench, and factory dual-battery setup. Chocolate brown with tan interior and top. The van has a true 79,000 miles. I have too many vans and projects needing my time, it's time to let one go. I bought this one last year as a 'winter project' and have gradually gone over its needs list and it is now ready for an adventure trip with a new owner. The van originated in Ohio, then Michigan and Florida before coming out to the west, so it's not a zero-rust west coast van. That said, the small spots it did (in lower rocker corners only) have are now welded with new metal, the minor seam rust has been touched up. The rear bench and front seats bottoms all need re-covered but a set of slipcovers in front and a Mexican blanket on the rear bench will negate the immediate need for those. The rear bed and upper bunk cushions are in great shape. All curtains and screens are there. The entire fuel system has been gone through with new pump, level sender, injectors, lines, etc; all new tuneup parts, new rear CVs, SS tank straps, all new brakes and clutch hydraulics, new 215/75R15 AT tires on 15" Passat steel wheels bored to fit, new Bus Depot 3-window tent and poptop seal, new headlight adjusters-all, new heater fan. The paint is all original and a bit oxidized but I am gradually buffing that out with good results, there are numerous small touchups I've done. It runs and drives great, a perfect non-creampuff van that can be taken on a serious trip w/o the worry of scraping it up. I'm asking $18K. Email me for more details. Photos here, most all a few months old but as I buff the paint the album will be updated. https://www.flickr.com/photos/76366863@N07/albums/72157666024157527 Karl westyventures.com 541.306.3959
