Hi Listers, small update, I put on the old hinge and the door is all lined up again. all works correctly and smoothly except the hinge of cours has no spring action. My fingers are crossed that GW sends me a replacement and it just works. One thing is for sure, I can sure get a sliding door hinge off and on in a flash. That skill is nailed down. Here is the update, I’ve taken the hinge out and switched the roller with the nylon one. that is a bit quieter but didn’t change the problem with the door height. I have done everything I can think of to get the door lower. I finally called GW and talked to a tech. He s suspects the hinge and not me. He says it doesn’t adjust up and down only left and right.. I’m to send him pictures of the top of the door and they will look into possibly sending me a new hinge. I would hate this to be my error but the darn thing can’t go down. It also binds on the track unless I push down on the door. I was almost at the point of filing the wholes in my door. I told the GW tech this and he seemed horrified. He said don’t do anything like that to your van let me check it out here. So, any tips before I need to give up and wait for a replacement? Thanks for all the great tips and info.
