Subject:      Slider door hinge update

Hi folks,


        Well, I sent pictures of the installed new hinge to GW and they contacted me saying they thought it was a problem with the hinge not my install.


But, no new hinges available.


Solution, I send them back the hinge and they will send me a used good condition original VW hinge.  I just need to put on the new bearings. 


This makes me think, Why didn’t I ask you good folks if you had a good used hinge around.  I should have started with that in the first place! 


For the next few weeks I at least have a functioning door so time to plan a July 4 camp out, and I have just the place to go! 


I sure hope I can report back success before too long.
