Yes, because of the headliner, I am sure. The Hose was damaged where it curves/hangs freely. No rubbing, no brittle.

Plus some other nuts and shells and stuuf in the engine compartment...during winter break.

Some combination of the bend with vibration, maybe even hitting the panel underneath as the engine moves. The ring need an inner ID to fit a tube going into that bore and the OD a snug fit into the step opening, thickness to be just above the top of the fitting, that is where the real seal occurs when the hose is tightened. > > > > Just out of curiosity, why are you looking to change the filter/dryer? They last forever or until contaminated by a system failure or bad repairs, or the outer casing rusts through. > > > > Dennis > > > > > > Sent from Mail<https://nam03.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fgo.microsoft.com%2Ffwlink%2F%3FLinkId%3D550986&data=02%7C01%7C%7C4600fb4b86684de2c6c308d5e36596c4%7C84df9e7fe9f640afb435aaaaaaaaaaaa%7C1%7C0%7C636664947813803324&sdata=O8Yoq54Xylsd4w9wx1NdJPz885YrfLAGpYYR%2BS7EuU8%3D&reserved=0> for Windows 10 > > > > ________________________________ > From: Vanagon Mailing List <vanagon@gerry.vanagon.com><mailto:vanagon@gerry.vanagon.com> on behalf of Raimund Feussner <ray@V6BUS.DE><mailto:ray@V6BUS.DE> > Sent: Friday, July 6, 2018 8:14:05 AM > To: vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM<mailto:vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM> > Subject: Re: URGENT: A/C dryer O-ring size > > That´s the point, I have no sample available and don´t know which > standardized size this is! > I wanted to exchange the drier tomorrow, need new o-rings, and don´t > have access to the vehicle until late this evening. > > A/C are still kept a secret in Germany. :-( > > Thanks Frank for the offer, but US->Germany for tomorrow...no! > > > Raimund > > > Am 06.07.2018 um 10:10 schrieb Frank Condelli: >> I cannot tell you the size but we do have 10 of them in stock. <https://nam01.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.frankcondelli.com%2Fstaging1%2Fstore%2Findex.php%3Froute%3Dproduct%2Fproduct%26path%3D61_75%26product_id%3D456&data=02%7C01%7C%7C162c073978c9421ffeba08d5e33a009b%7C84df9e7fe9f640afb435aaaaaaaaaaaa%7C1%7C0%7C636664760620473444&sdata=dMvGR1UaStIW%2FgXwpNNsBBf0JGFiypTCwwFZaVwxgJA%3D&reserved=0 <https://nam01.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.frankcondelli.com%2Fstaging1%2Fstore%2Findex.php%3Froute%3Dproduct%2Fproduct%26path%3D61_75%26product_id%3D456&data=02%7C01%7C%7C162c073978c9421ffeba08d5e33a009b%7C84df9e7fe9f640afb435aaaaaaaaaaaa%7C1%7C0%7C636664760620473444&sdata=dMvGR1UaStIW%2FgXwpNNsBBf0JGFiypTCwwFZaVwxgJA%3D&reserved=0>> >> >> >>> On Jul 6, 2018, at 12:00 AM, Automatic digest processor <LISTSERV@GERRY.VANAGON.COM><mailto:LISTSERV@GERRY.VANAGON.COM> wrote: >>> >>> Hello Team, >>> >>> can someone please urgently tell me the size of the Vanagon 86+ A/C >>> dryer O-rings? >>> >>> I think OE number is 803 260 749. >> Cheers, >> >> Frank Condelli >> Almonte, Ontario, Canada >> '87 VW Westy, '00 Kawasaki 250 Sherpa, "98 Ducati 750 Monster & Lionel Trains (Collection for sale <https://nam01.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.frankcondelli.com%2Ftrainsal.htm&data=02%7C01%7C%7C162c073978c9421ffeba08d5e33a009b%7C84df9e7fe9f640afb435aaaaaaaaaaaa%7C1%7C0%7C636664760620473444&sdata=Hd%2Fu79nGC8q3kUhgoDg0xHd2yMID8X2mk48whuUYljE%3D&reserved=0>) >> Frank Condelli & Associates <https://nam01.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.frankcondelli.com%2F&data=02%7C01%7C%7C162c073978c9421ffeba08d5e33a009b%7C84df9e7fe9f640afb435aaaaaaaaaaaa%7C1%7C0%7C636664760620473444&sdata=c7pR4V0paljeubC3egmoBVzU662Q1Gdcc33W0lCyPgA%3D&reserved=0> - Vanagon/Vanagon Westfalia Parts & Service in the Ottawa Valley >> BusFusion <https://nam01.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.busfusion.com%2F&data=02%7C01%7C%7C162c073978c9421ffeba08d5e33a009b%7C84df9e7fe9f640afb435aaaaaaaaaaaa%7C1%7C0%7C636664760620473444&sdata=jj2sw5pji1ji%2BxFX1%2BRowQJlTUdQzUmyePOdn%2FTdMug%3D&reserved=0> a VW Camper camping event, Almonte, ON, June 07 ~ 10, 2018
