I had a sensor issue with mine. Symptoms were similar and it would go away at higher rpm and/or shutting it off. I ended up replacing the sensor and all troubles went away. Also check the wires - if they are corroded etc they can cause issues.

I also added an oil pressure gauge so now I keep an eye on that.
