I’ve rebuilt over 500 motors and have had a very low failure rate. The new Chinese motors are as subject to water intrusion as the original motors. Water does not kill the motors, what kills the motors is lack of lubrication and non use. Good luck getting Brickwerks to ship to the US if you’re here in the states.
