Here are two kits we sell for the later model Vanagon.  One uses the Sanden
compressor and the other uses an aftermarket version.  It just depends on
which you want and what you want to spend:

If you have an 86-87 Vanagon you need to be sure what version of the
compressor you have.  They transitioned from SD-508 to SD-510 to SD-709 all
in 87.  You want to replace what you have with the same unit.  If you have
a question about what you have just send me a picture.  Or use the pictures
on my site as reference.
