Hi Jim. My van already has the tracks, and it sounds like Eric's does too.
I was able to slide in the seat without a problem but wasn't sure how to secure it. There seems to be bolts and clamps recessed in the track, and i wasn't sure if they were supposed to clamp the track down?
Thanks
Jeff

I have a writeup with pictures on how to add a sliding seat to a camper.
You need to cut the flooring where the pre-drilled and tap bolt holes are
located, and make slots the correct width and length. You are first putting
down a sheet metal tray, and on top of that the tracks that receive the
sliding seat. Then, there is a set of hold-down hardware that secures the
seat and keeps it from sliding. On top of that are metal covers and very
wide headed screws that bolt the covers down to the special brackets for a
smooth flow when the seat it out. I have a set of this stuff that includes
everything but the sheet metal trays and the sheet metal covers. it
includes the tracks and sliders, which can by the way be installed on top
of the floor, so no cutting and no metal trays to fool with, but when the
seat is out you have these two metal brackets all the way across the floor.

Hi Jeff,
I’ll be looking forward to the answer.
I have two bench seats one brown and one grey. The older brown one
matches my van the newer grey one seems a bit lighter and has backs that
flip down.
Neither one seemed to fit perfectly as the slider didn’t want to close.
I suspect both mine were for passenger vans. I was recommended to
remove the arm rest on one side and that did make the seat fit beter. I
recently removed both arm rests from the Grey one and that gave me some
wiggle room. I then used the same bolts that hold down the metal track
covers to secure the seat from sliding left to right. I only put in about
two bolts.
I suspect there is actual additional hardware for the seat to be secured
but I’ve never had my hands on it.
I’m looking forward to responses.
Best,

I have a double bench seat that I’ve installed on the tracks in my 85

ever would). There are brackets held in place with bolts. Do the brackets
secure the frame somehow?
Thanks
