I never ran into any recertification requirements in BC. Regardless of location, some LP refill stations might refuse to refill the tank if it looks quite rusty and/or has the old original single stage regulator or Auto Fill setup.

This is just an opinion and is only one general indicator of the tanks condition, but if the ID tag on that Manchester tank is rusted out, falling off or MIA, consider replacing the tank. Tanks can also rust from the inside out.

On my '81, the tank looked quite pitted to my eye. It got replaced. Some folks choose to strip, paint, re-valve their tanks. Lots of information in the archives on that topic.
