Car: 91 Tin top automatic

Issue: Headlights had a very momentary blink on high beam when hitting PennDot approved bumps. (PennDot makes bumps from potholes)

Last week when returning from the Jersey shore, twice when I hit a PennDot approved bump, the headlights had a very momentary blink when on high beam. And I mean very momentarily. So much so, that my wife didn't even notice or comment. Only high beam.

Car has had the Bus Depot headlight relay for probably close to 10 years. Each head light has been given its own separate ground.

Is it possible for a relay to get week and loose its contact momentarily when taking a sharp jolt?

We're taking the grandchildren to Washington D.C. for a couple of days and I don't want this to fail completely. All suggestions or comments are welcome.

BobC
