That was not tremendously long after Trevor Reid (aka "The Skylight Guy") bought the Delta Six tooling and molds. The prior owner (Euro American RV Products) had let quality deteriorate to the point that we had to throw away 15-20 percent of them at our expense - but since they owned the tooling they were the only game in town. Once Trevor bought their assets he made incremental but substantial improvements over a few years - eventually the tooling and molds were completely renewed and raw parts quality improved throughout. More importantly QC was dramatically improved. Ultimately Trevor completely reversed what had been a long and steep decline in Delta Six product. And not just the faucets alone. The inlets and the other Delta Six items also saw dramatic improvement under Trevor's stewardship - not just build quality equivalent to original German Westfalia standards, but also design and materials improvements that Trevor came up with.

By December of 2014, having invested a lot of labor and money, Trevor needed a cash infusion to keep it going. He and I have worked together closely for years so we were natural partners. The Bus Depot acquired Delta Six's assets, but basically as a silent owner. Trevor (and by now largely his son Davin - a family affair) continues to produce the Delta Six products for us in Canada. So while we own the name and tooling, it wouldn't have been worth saving if it hadn't been for Trevor.

All that being said, regarding the faucet in question, even Rolls Royce does not have a zero percent defect rate. You could try loosening the screw at the top in case it's a tad too tight. Also recognize that some friction is part of the original design, it will always be a bit tight. Beyond that, I'm afraid I have to concur with Jim that 6 years is too long to report a defect. Delta Six products do have a one year warranty against defects in workmanship, and thanks to the Reid family's workmanship the return rate remains extremely low.
