I believe the Hankook Vantras are rated as summer tires. I had a set of the RA08’s for years and they handled and wore very well on dry surfaces but were not at all good in snow or icy conditions although rated as all season. 


A year ago I bought a set of 15” Euro-style wheels with Nokian WRG’s from the Van Cafe. Shipped mounted and balanced they came to about $900 US. I think they’re 205/70’s.  The ride and handling are spectacularly better (also they look great!) and I would not want to go back; when the tires wear out there will still be many options in the 15” range.
