I have a newer Dometic in my LT Florida. It works great, will freeze lettuce if you're not careful! The auto-igniter is nice too. The LT also has larger vents for the fridge. (To the outside and one in the back of the counter) I run it on 120V with a step up transformer mounted in the back cupboard. In fact the entire inside of the van is 220V with European plugs since that was the easiest way to connect the on-board charger as well. We rarely camp with electricity, and most modern electronics auto-switch anyways. If I'm making Pina Coladas I can plug the blender into the powerbar I mounted in the rear of the kitchen :) Jason Uberbus On Sat, Aug 25, 2018 at 3:08 AM, Karl Mullendore <tdiguru@westyventures.com> wrote: > Still not gonna work better unless you cut ventilation holes in the side of > the van or some other obtuse way of venting the heat from behind the > cabinet. 85 degrees is about the limit and still have 40 degrees in the > fridge.
