Subject: Swapping heavy duty struts in
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=utf-8

I have regular pressure pop-top struts from Van Cafe installed and also have the heavy duty struts that I am trying to swap in for this trip we are on (writing this from Custer SD 4 days and about 1500 miles into a 10 week trip. A few details here: http://nextchapter.kraiker.ca/the-next-chapter/dream-big-then-go-home/ )

I tried a couple of days back. No problem getting the current one out, no way I could find to get the new one in. It’s just a hair too long and at 120lb support pressure I can’t compress it.

I have read that lifting the top a little can make room but I have not been successful with that either.

Suggestions?
