Subject: engine crank but no start
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="UTF-8"

hi all,

I have this question concerning my van and my son's van, 1990 tintop Syncro, 1988 2WD GL, both with 2.1 WBX, and this happened on both vans a year apart.

after a long drive, making a fuel stop, the van won't start, it cranks fine. So we went thru the process of checking fuel pump, ignition switch, AFM connector, Hall sensor, plugs etc etc... no start..

but then out of the blue I remove and replug the small connector (the one on the right of the big wiring loom) on the black box that sits on top of the coil.. once I replug it the engine starts right up as if nothing ever happened...

so the question is:

- what's the function of that small plug? - where it connected to?

thanks

dan
