Purple is low strength and for small fasteners.Blue is medium strength.Red is high strength.(Heat may be needed for removal)Green is for studs and sleeves.(May need a torch to removal) Then there are variations that are wicking. It's best to remove all oils from both sides. Good luck. -Dick W.- Sent via my phone. -------- Original message --------From: Jim Felder <jim.felder@GMAIL.COM> Date: 9/29/18  07:30  (GMT-08:00) To: vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM Subject: Re: Loctite I think blue lox tire is what you want. Lighter that that, you can use PVC pipe dope. Easy disassembly. But stay away from red, too much heat involved in removal.

Oil, water and vibration resistance info as well as how hard it will be to remove the fastener is important to the applications I am interested in.  I imagine you can figure where the stuff will be used (hint: I am asking the list). > Dave B.
