A while ago I removed the whole dash board to replace the dead heater blower... well it's a tedious job and I recorded all the steps in a file (if someone want the file please let me know)... anyway the front heater core is right there, looking quite old.. so I decided to replace it and the valve too... here's what I did...

- clamp both hoses (in and out) - remove the old heater core - fill the new heater core with coolant - connect the new heater core to only one hose - check the coolant level in the heater core, fill it up with coolant till it doesn't take anymore - connect the 2nd hose - start then engine and check...

I didn't need to do a whole coolant system bleed and it's working fine till now.

dan
