Hi Ed,

I’m looking forward to responses.

I had a interesting event with my recent power steering issue.

I have a competent VW owning friend and he came over to check out my screeching power steering.

I started up the van and… perfectly quiet and normal. What? How could that be? It sounded terrible the last two times I started the van.

We looked around a bit and there is fluid coming out around a two bolt part of the power steering on the driver’s side.

I’ve been given the direct to clean that up so we can see how it leaks over time.

I wonder if this is the same part you are talking about?

So my power steering issue is currently ongoing.

Best,

Eric Caron 85 GL Auto
