All right, All right!! I went out and checked. I put in 3 different 1137's. One fit, but it was a yellow bulb. So I checked the socket. It seems that correct socket orientation make the bulb flash quickly. When inserted the other way, incorrect orientation, the bulb flashed correctly. So I greased up everything and off I go. No wires switched, worked correctly before bulb failure. But I wonder, is the bulb tab orientation different 1137 vs. 1034? Inquiring minds want to know. Anybody out there with both bulbs willing to check to see which filament lines up with the tabs? By the way Eric. I have already been on top of a snowy mountain in temps quite chilly. Still pretty good for an older guy.

Hi Dave,
yes, I bet that fixes it!
Now why make us wait? get a umbrella and get out there! A Vermont Vanagon person wood. Are you getting soft down in the south in Mass?
Looking forward to the solution.

As soon as it gets a little warmer and/or not raining out here, I am going to check bulb orientation. That may be the whole solution.
