Hi Eric.  Something utilitarian I got was a tool to cut one's seatbelt and break one's window to escape in a crash. Don't like to think about it, but it's a thoughtful gift that may save lives.  The great toy I got was a blow up solar light.  Packs real small for travel, blows up to shed light. Recharges fast by leaving it on the dash. Got a bunch of colors and an auto color change feature.  We could have used that on a Blue Ridge Parkway trip.  Stuck in the bus fpr daus in rain and fog so thick the rangers would not let us leave the campground.  We were dancing around inside the bus to relieve boredom.  A disco light would have helped.  BTW, just so one knows, the bus is my 87 Westy.  Dave B.

Hi fellow listers, 

        I love to hear about Christmas vanagon related gifts.  Anyone get something interesting this year? 

        I actually didn’t but I had purchased early a few items.  i’m looking forward to installing the GW USB map light and glove box conversion kit. 

The third GW break  kit  light looks a bit past my current patience and skill level but I may have some talented friends that can help with that. 

So any new Vanagon, camping or related items to share?
