The sidewall maximum inflation is intended for cold inflation, not hot. So, inflate to 50 psi if you that is correct for your load. Make no adjustment when the tires have been driven. Yes, the psi will be higher than at cold inflation, but it will not exceed capacity (unless the van is overloaded or driven at speeds in excess of the speed rating of the tires, or the inflation was incorrect for the load). For my van, the recommended psi (door placard, owner's manual) is 53 psi rear, 43 psi front. I make sure my tires have a sidewall maximum inflation pressure above those values (typically, 65 psi). I inflate to 43 and 53 psi, regardless of initial conditions. I periodically check the inflation psi. If it is higher than those values after driving, I ignore that. If it is higher when the vehicle has been setting for one hour or more in the shade, I may drop it to the stated values. If it is lower, I raise it. Typically, I measure the pressure when the vehicle has been parked overnight, adjust it to 43 and 53 psi front and rear. After driving, no adjustment.
