Interesting.  I avoided those tunnels a long time ago due to the propane tank,  I brought it up to the list and was told, as I remember, that the Westy tank is not like one's grille tank.  I believe it is ASME certified and therefore not subject to the restrictions. ??Anyone want to chime in on this? That is a really bad idea. I've been stopped at the Baltimore Harbor Tunnel and the Lincoln Tunnel. As per current signage the "Greater than 10 pounds" is no longer there so it is all propane. For the Chesapeake Bay Bridge and Tunnel the propane needs to be shut off. Last time I traveled with the motorhome the toll collector had me stop and a trooper was summoned to ensure it was in fact turned off. There is also a detour on the NY side of the George Washington Bridge. The 695 around Baltimore takes you a bit out of the way but it is not that bad.

Play dumb and you will never be stopped or questioned.
