Wait a minute.  Diane and I were on the Blue Ridge Parkway in the rain for 4 days before we left and went to the Smokey Mountains.  Had our campground table covered overhea with a tarp and were pretty well set up.  The clouds around us were so thick the campground host didn't want people to leave because driving on the Parkway was so dangerous due to no vision.  We took it, cooped up in the bus with the dog, but after 4 days it was no fun, so we chanced it and left for someplace dryer.
