On my '88 Westy, while replacing the connector to the higher pressure oil switch, I replaced about 1/2 of the OE brown wire to it. (Ironically?) shortly after that, an intermittent buzzer/light on false alarm started to happen. Cleaning the connections at the 2 wire plugs did not help. Replacing the remainder of that OE brown wire appeared to solve the issue; that wire was quite corroded. I can't recall if I replaced one of the connectors at the 2 wire plug but I'm nearly certain that corroded section of wire was the cause of the fault.
