Want to give an update on how things turned out with my clock. Tried releasing the stuck button with a small pin, but no luck. After numerous attempts gave up and decided to pull the instrument panel. Once the clock was removed the button popped back into position and now works fine. Put everything back together and had no dash lights. Pulled the light switch and found a previous owner had spliced one of the wires. Repaired the splice and reinstalled - have dash lights again. All in all the process was relatively easy with everyone's suggestions. Thanks! Dave 88 Vanagon GL 2.1 90 Westfalia TIICO 2.0 |
