Ah, very good David.  For me, this is a new product offering.  I haven't seen it before; they used to offer the stick-on clock but looks discontinued.  I will also say that my Vanagon is always garage-kept and thus not subject to such harsh conditions as to make an LCD leak.  So good for GoWesty!  A fine solution, those guys always come through somehow.  For those with clock problems but not a sun-baked situation, the Q-tip and alcohol cleaning is a good first try. I was sorta amused that GoWesty (of all people) offer a little stick-on LCD clock to fix the situation....when getting to the root cause is a much better solution.

If you look closer, that's a replacement LCD and a pair of zebra strips, for when the original has leaked and turned black.  A bit spendy ($36) but it's a fine clock worth spending a bit on.  Four megahertz crystal, should have a rate of less than five seconds a month. Yrs,d Yrs,d
