Subject: Auto Transmission service advice
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=utf-8

Hi list,

My Auto Transmission seems to be working great. Only problem is it is leaking out a lot of fluid.

We recently changed the pan seal to try to fix the issue and the problem is the same.

I m still trying to track down exactly where the fluid is coming from. It is too much to ignore. a wet dinner plate every 5 or six days.

I’d love some advice on how to solve this problem.

I”m considering ordering the seals again from Ken and this time get all three. then find a time with my VW talented friend and do them all.

Only other option I can think of is to go to a transmission shop, but my luck with local garages is not great. I have a few new ones to try out but first I wanted to hear from this group.

Reminder, drips from driver’s side front bolt area. But, I’m not positive it is from there or somewhere above.

thanks,

Eric Caron 85 GL Auto
