Well, my two cents. It feels like I hve been here on the Vanagon List
since The BIG Bang! Of course not quite the case, but almost. Don't know
what I would have done without. The camaraderie, and the chatter, the
patient explnations and working thru problems with list help, has brought
me a great deal of pleasure with my ownership of my various Vanagon. My
thanks to everyone who has participated.
I would hate to see this list motph into something else, because this list
is the most direct way to meet up with fellow vanogon owners and
vendor/supporters that I know of. The one and only other list the compares,
that I know of, is an art list to which I subscribe that has 8000 odd
members. A while back they all voted on whether to change the format. The
vote was no. They all voted to stick with the LISTSERV SOFTWARE and format.
I hope we do that. Otherwise, I think TheVanagon List will go in decline
and disappear. When you have a basic good thing, why change it. Some think
I'M old fogey. Not so. Technology can be helpful, but not in all cases.
Thus it is with the Listserv and the Vanagon List. Long may it Live!!!
