Well, I pretty much agree. I've been on the list since...uhmm...who can remember that long? Not on here nearly as much as early on for a couple of reasons. About 16 years ago now I replaced my WBX with a Tiico (don't ask) and really lost touch with the fits and foibles unique to the WBX and Digifant systems. Also started spending a lot of time on the Yahoo Tiico group - plenty of opportunity for helping and being helped when one owns a Tiico. For the last 3 years, I've had a GenV 2L conversion from FAS, with turbocharger for the last year. Now I know even less about the WBX and don't have much help to offer anyone on that front.

BUT, I still enjoy reading the list, and helping when I can, and asking for help when I need to. I enjoy the trip reports as well, and reviews of campgrounds and destinations, and the civility of the list. I don't, and won't use FB, Twitter, or any other anti-social media platforms. The list - and it's electronic and software architecture - fit in well with the Vanagon ethos IMO. Clean, uncluttered, utilitarian, uniquely useful and efficient.

Thanks to all over the years, especially the early ones when I didn't know a WBX from a WRX. And thanks to Ben and others for their time in maintaining this community.

Poetically well put! and to borrow from the same theme as Roger's observations: The same as knowing eventually the van will be working again...inspite of not knowing why exactly it isn't. BT
