Unplug the green wire from the LED panel to the sender near the tank. Unplugged, should show no lights. Grounded, should show green light.

If YES, you've either got a few drops of water inside the sender (probably from the wire entrance) or a busted reed switch inside it from bending the wand ever so slightly in the wrong direction (I *hope* that the presently available wands have the reed switches soldered with a little slack in the leads -- I had a long conversation with Trevor about this when he was setting up to make them again. Either one is fixable with considerable effort.

If NO, replace left-hand LM324N chip on LED panel. Digikey has them for a buck and change. Clip the chip off the board using small dykes, then desolder the legs individually.
