I had similar buzz/squeal a few months ago. It turned out to be the spring from one of the pins that hold the brake shoe to the backing plate. The 'hat' had fallen off of the pin, the pin had fallen out the back of the backing plate (and thus lost forever) and the little spring was floating around inside the drum producing a low level squealing sound.
