Don, I have used these tires for many years, on many Vanagon. I would recommend the 195R14s. You can buy them through the Tirerack pretty easily. They have great traction and the stiff side wall makes the van ride better. I have tried Continentals, and Vredestines and didn't really like either of them. The Vredestines were not as narrow and the van would slip when there was any type of wetness on the road. The Continentals didn't ride as nice as the Yokohamas.

That is my experience with these. Of course you can go with bigger wheels and different tires if you want. However I would advise that if you have a Westfalia you should be sure to get reinforced side wall tires as anything without the extra side wall rating is just asking for early failure. No matter what a certain company that sells wheel and tire packages would tell you.
