It should be about .050 thick to match what the connector is expecting. Two or three thicknesses of index card stuck to the back will take care of that nicely (or whatever more elegant shim stock is available -- I did that fix on Jimmy Sheehan's panel in the middle of the night on the table in my van parked in front of someone's house with no tools or materials). I mentioned this was a problem to him back then but he wasn't very receptive. It's not just that you have to zip-tie it on so it won't fall off -- it needs that thickness and pressure to make proper contact. Yrs, d |
