Jeff,

I have a cluster with the South African foil replacement unit, sold by vanagon.org, in my van while I work on the original cluster.

It works fine, don’t like the cold white led dash illumination nor the soldered to the wire connection for the lamps. Also feel like the connection of the unit to the T14 connector on van harness isn’t as snug as I think it should be.

But all that said, it’s been working without failure for the last couple of months.

Alistair

I’m looking at both the Vanagon.org <http://vanagon.org/> and Gowesty.com <http://gowesty.com/> models, and while they both appear to function properly I’m wondering about the ‘intangibles.’ For example, the Vanagon.org model uses LED lights I believe. I kinda like the hazy yellow glow currently (or liked before I lost those lights!) and don’t want bright white lights. Maybe gowesty.com <http://gowesty.com/> is the same with LEDs? Not sure. > > I have a Canadian model so no OXS light if that matters. > > I’m not sure if I ever had an oil pressure buzzer.
