When I had the windshield replaced in my 91 non-GL Syncro a couple of years ago, they replaced it with one of the tinted (at the top) ones, which is what I originally had.

If you're worried about the seal you can always buy one from us.  If you have a lot of rot under the windshield we sell inexpensive weld-in repair sections that are properly contoured (our part # 251898035).
