When I had the windshield replaced in my 91 non-GL Syncro a couple of years ago, they replaced it with one of the tinted (at the top) ones, which is what I originally had.

There used to be a version with a tint at the top and one without, not sure if both are still made. Prices can vary dramatically so it's worth calling two or three auto glass places. If you're worried about the seal you can always buy one from us.
