 In 2015 I had Safelight come to my house try to install a new windshield using their generic seal.After two hours the guy had to call the shop for help and the two guys could not make the seal fit. I told them to stop and I will have a seal sent overnight from BD. When it arrived they came back and 30 min later windshield's installed. So you may want to have the correct seal on hand. BTW the windshield supplied was made in China no big deal just thought it would have to come from Germany.

To my knowledge all of the currently available windshields come from the same supplier (PPG) no matter where you buy them.  There used to be a version with a tint at the top and one without, not sure if both are still made. Prices can vary dramatically so it's worth calling two or three auto glass places. If you're worried about the seal you can always buy one from us.  If you have a lot of rot under the windshield we sell inexpensive weld-in repair sections that are properly contoured (our part # 251898035).
