All,

87 Vanagon, driving well. But threw a belt, which dislodged two others. I have replacement belts on hand. Unfortunately, the belt took out the dip stick right at the engine block. I am proceeding to replace belts.

Questions:

Any issues with plugging the dipstick hole?

Looking in Bentley to get belt sizes correct, but quick answers welcome.

Any mechanics in Vancouver area that can replace my dipstick?

We are on Bowen Island.

Thanks!

Doug
