Eric, The "turbo" upgrade is a 4 gear planet carrier versus a 3 gear. It just provides more strength in the lower gears to reduce a chance of failure of this assembly it does not make a 4 speed and does not change any ratio. In reality the stock transmission is quit stout as is and this area of the transmission rarely fails except for high horsepower applications or if the final drive ratio is changed too much and you find you need 2nd gear to get up any hill or tackle a headwind. Once in drive-your 3rd gear this makes no difference at all.

Hi listers,

Does anyone out there have experience with the German Trans Axel Auto Turbo transmission?

What is the advantage over the three speed if any.

What does it feel like compared to the original set up.

Still working on my engine and transmission options.

Thanks,

Eric Caron
